You don’t need to do anything to receive emails, just keep your bitmessage client running. Incoming messages will appear in your inbox:
The message may, at the top, include up to three warnings:
- PGP encryption missing: the message received was not encrypted with PGP
- PGP signature missing: the message received did not contain a valid PGP signature
- DKIM signature missing: the message received did not contain a valid DKIM signature
If any of these three warnings is missing, it means that particular test was successful. You may use this information to decide whether to trust the authenticity of the message.
In the case depicted on the screenshot, the sender does not support both encrypting and signing messages at the same time (so the message was only encrypted and not signed), and their systems do not have DKIM setup, so there is no DKIM signature.
